Ahhhhh.....Nothing like a warm dish of spicy apples and cinnamon on a cool Fall day.
This is a great recipe for warming the heart, comforting the spirit and nourishing the mind. Simple, easy and delicious.
Warm Apples with Walnuts
2 apples1/8 cup walnuts
1 tsp fresh ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of cloves
Pinch of salt
Topping:
Raw organic sugar and cinnamon
Gently cook all ingredients until apples are tender. Add a little bit of water to keep mixture from sticking to pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon topping and serve warm. Serves one.
Good Kapha balancing breakfast or dessert.
